think it’s wonderful that the school allows for business people, such as
yourself, to come in and talk to the students about the "real" world
and not the "book" world. I got a lot out of your presentation and look
forward to implementing the things I have learned as tools in achieving my
goals!"
~ Student "This was probably the most useful
3 hours of my entire college experience!" ~ Entrepreneurial Student, USF St. Petersburg "Thank you! Thank you for being our guest speaker! I got so many favorable comments about your presentation, it appeals to many learning styles!
~ Lydia, Organizer "Joseph, my man! You rocked and so did your presentation."
~ Sylvester Chisom, www.SylvesterChisom.com "Joseph, I NEVER take notes when other speakers come in but from the second you started your presentation, my pen never left my paper! You gave us all incredible clarity on a very complex subject. That was awesome!"

The last workshop of the semester was one of great interest and knowledge. The seminars throughout this semester focused on different aspects of business however, all ended with great wise words of encouragement when running your own business. Joseph, the speaker wrote a book titled, "What's in it for me?" which has some of the greatest advice that some may be easy to over look. This is to simply focus on "you." A persons strengths and weaknesses and fears are some of our greatest downfalls and quite frankly may be the reason for unattempted risks of success. I admire this because most of the time, I am indeed my greatest competition. Like many of our speakers before Joseph, a great business is built on taking risks. This must be the mindset of anyone who is focused on developing a great successful business. On second thought, I believe the words of Joseph can be implemented with anything one wants to do in life. Anything worth having takes determination and positive thinking. He was very informative and I believe made a lot of people amped about their future business ventures. It was a great way to gain advice from someone who has been there and done that.

This final speaker was a great way to end the semester. Not only was the speaker interesting, he was also motivational and I know I am not the only one who learned many ways to think. Our speaker touched on everything ----- how to be successful, bouncing back from mistakes and letting us know what is important to focus on, and that is ourselves.
Like everyone who goes into business, Joseph has made poor decisions. Poor decisions remind us what not to do and also how to move forward. Making mistakes also builds character, which will separate people who really want it from the people who crumble from their mistakes. No matter what I am doing, I can implement the advice gained from our speaker. It is important to always remember not not let anything stand in the way of your success if there is something you want to do or achieve. Joseph did mention that we need to focus on ourselves more. This caught my attention because many of us are thinking of a million things to work on whether it be in business or schoolwork, when to is successful we cannot forget our own passion.
There is not an exact formula on how to be successful, but if you follow the advice and directions of our speaker Joseph, it should not be hard. I am grateful for having the chance to sit and listen. Not only is all of the information I have obtained useful, it has also been insightful and motivating.

Joseph Warren, CEO of CoCreativ and author of the book, “What’s In It For Me?” spoke at the final workshop about “Leadership Insight.” Joseph believes that "we are all the same in our pain and struggles", and that "our mistakes form our character which leads us to our destiny". He says, "Everyone is pre-wired to do something great with their life. But most never do because they are paralyzed by fear." He had us write down: "Behind your greatest fear lies your greatest passion and until you face it head on, you will never realize your dreams." Most of us want to be happy, healthy, and wealthy. Joseph explained that our past does not define us, but reminds us how to strive forward beyond our personal situations and achieve success.

The Leadership Insight talk was by far my favorite of the workshop seminars that I attended this semester. Although each of them touched on important facets of the business world and covered material that was important to their own unique form of success, Joseph Warren gave us a broad view of how to be successful in business. I am a huge fan of TED talks because they are mind opening. They are designed to take our blinders off, and correct our tunnel vision. Joseph Warren took that spirit of a TED talk and applied it so well to his seminar on leadership, and how that might translate into the business world.
Joseph's clear message was to focus on "YOU" ----- the passions, the fears, the mistakes, and the strengths. Being a successful leader in business or in any venture requires tapping into these qualities of "you" and overcoming where need be, to realize your true ambition. It was a point well taken, and was uplifting to hear. Joseph pointed out that mistakes are what form your character, and that fear of these mistakes and fear in general is what stands in the way of our success. He even had everyone in the audience jot down, "Behind your greatest fear lies your greatest passion". Hearing that my passion, which I still seem to be searching for is so close, but that fear of failure, or fear of judgment is standing just in the way... It made success feel attainable, and that I was the only thing standing in my way.
