Event Organizers! Joseph Can Get More Butts In Your Seats --- Here's How!
My name is Joseph Warren and if you're already familiar with my work, then you'll know that I've EMCEED for all types of college events, but specialize in Entrepreneurship Conferences and Student Pitch Competitions.
Your audience are Millennials, right? The Millennial generation will only attend high-energy college events jam-packed with authentic people, tons of fun, and plenty of emotional connections. Millennials detest dry, boring events. They want to be entertained just as much as they want to learn. So why not combine the two for them? As your Emcee, I accept your audience "where they are" and speak about what matters to them. And they love me for it. Walk and chat with me for a minute. When the day of your event arrives, you'll be tempted to do one of two things: (1) try to emcee the event yourself or (2) coerce one of your colleagues to take the stage. This approach is very common among event organizers, but so are the RESULTS: A lame, dry, put-them-to-sleep event-----followed by audience disappointment and sponsor fallout :-( I remember one organizer who thought she was a GOOD emcee because someone gave her a compliment once. The truth is they were just being nice. Listen. We both know that you're great at what you do. But how can you be a great event organizer (left brain) AND a great emcee (right brain) at the same time? Stick to your strengths. Hire me for mine. Since I've started targeting my services to colleges and universities, I have increased my bookings tremendously and received excellent feedback that has resulted in multiple repeat business and referrals. It amazes me how few organizers fully understand this very important FACT: A great Emcee can turn even the most poorly run event into a huge success. And since booking a great Emcee is just as important as booking a great keynote speaker, is it smart NOT to budget for both??! As event coordinator for your school, you're responsible for lots of moving parts. Things rarely go exactly as planned and adjusting on-the-fly is just part of the business. Here's the good news: While you're "putting out fires" back stage, as your emcee, I'm on stage making sure your audience thinks everything's running smooth as silk even if your team is in absolute scramble mode. A great emcee focuses on one thing and does it flawlessly. "Audience engagement." I will make your audience laugh or cry, jump up and down and scream if needed, or play fun games during those vital "in-between moments" that need to be filled (there's always empty spots.) And it's in those extremely important "sub-content" moments that your audience will either LOVE your event or wonder why they ever decided to come in the first place. FACT: People won't remember what is said at your event but they will never forget how your event made them FEEL. Create memorable experiences-----that's what I do. And I do it well. And it's that memorable "feeling" that I create in your audience that translates into more event revenue for you. Attendees will be talking about your event for weeks! Sponsors will practically beg you to take their money for the opportunity to sponsor your next event. You'll get repeat sponsors and more attendance, I guarantee it. Questions? Call (727) 277-9522 |
